Born in Santa Cruz California, Roy grew up in the greater Seattle area where he attended Bellevue Christian High School. After attending Biola University as well as California State University, Fullerton he graduated from S. Colorado University with degrees in Communication & Finance.

Roy started his Wall Street career with Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1993. Although the name changed many times, ending with MorganStanley SmithBarney, he would spend the next 18+ years with the firm. He made his first and only professional move to Raymond James & Associates in April of 2012, accepting the role of Senior Vice President, Investments.

Roy works with a select group of individuals, families, trusts, corporations and endowments. He is a member of Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting (IIMC)*. With the Sachs Group's focus on Wealth Management, Roy has attained the designation of Wealth Management Specialist (WMS) as well as completion of the Advanced Estate Planning Institute (AEPI) He can also act as an ERISA Fiduciary, as defined in Section 3(2)(a)(ii), for 401(k)’s and other retirement plans. Roy is a 2014 and 2015 member of Raymond James President's Club.**

Roy and his wife Wendy have two beautiful children, Brooke Lynn & Roy Scott II,“Scottie”.

 

The Investment Management Consultant designation is awarded to those who complete the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting program.

**President's Club and Leaders Club membership is based mainly on assets under management, education, credentials, and fiscal year production. Re-qualification is required annually. Prior membership is no assurance of future membership.
