Gary founded Sage Financial Strategies in 2012. His mission is to simplify the complex by making concepts understandable, bringing professional together, and truly listening to his clients’ needs and goals.
His career began at Montana State University (BA in Business-Finance) where he helped establish a business brokerage and valuation company. After college, Gary moved to Denver, Colorado. He started his career off as a loan clerk and moved into business and corporate banking.
In 2003, he joined AXA Advisors as a financial advisor. Gary completed a Retirement Planning program at the Wharton School of Business in 2007. After 2008, he joined Raymond James seeking the ability to practice in an open architecture culture. Recently, he became a certified exit planning specialist through the Exit Planning Institute focusing on helping business owners prepare to transition their business.
Along with his financial expertise, Gary believes strongly in investing in the community. Gary has served on several boards, volunteers often with clients-- making meals or painting homes for those in need. He is currently serving as vice chairperson for Canine Partners of the Rockies.
Gary and his wife, Heather, have been married 26 years. They have one daughter attending college in AZ. Gary loves to ski, hike, cook, and travel.
