Michael grew up in a financial services environment, deeply aware of the importance of astute financial guidance tailored to an individual’s needs. His entire life, Michael’s father, fellow team-member Barry, has held high-level roles in the financial services industry. During summer breaks spent at his father’s office, Michael witnessed firsthand the positive impact financial advisors can have on the lives of those they serve.

Once in college, Michael took many introductory business courses, including one on finance. He fell in love with the class and the understanding it provided him of financial principles extending from individuals to governments. Michael was soon asked to be a paid peer tutor, holding weekly study sessions with students in need of extra help. It was at this point, just as his love of finance was growing, that Michael discovered his other lifelong passion: teaching.

Years later, now a financial advisor serving alongside his father, Michael taps into his love of teaching on a daily basis, informing clients about their investments and the market in general. He applies a high degree of empathy and patience to everything he does, and specializes in retirement planning, supplemental income generation and college savings plans.

Prior to joining Raymond James in January 2016, Michael served alongside his father for four years as a registered representative at David Lerner Associates in Teaneck, New Jersey. Michael graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Quinnipiac University in 2012.

Originally from Wayne, New Jersey, Michael currently makes his home in Nanuet, New York, with his wife, Emily, and their 1-year-old daughter, Hailey. But … it’s not about us – it’s about you. Our team analyzes the information you share with us and designs strategies intended to help you pursue your objectives. This step may involve collaboration with your existing professionals. We present our recommendations to you, answer your questions, consider alternatives and outline the steps we need to take to implement your plan.


In this step, we execute your customized strategy using the extensive tools available to us through Raymond James. This involves the selection of specific account types, investment products and optional services; we then complete the necessary paperwork in a coordinated approach.


Once implemented, we will review the progress of our recommendations relative to your defined objectives and suggest changes where needed. A key to this step is your involvement in the process and communication of any significant changes in your life. We accomplish this by providing reporting of your account activity.
