With professional experience in practice management and client service, Cassandra plays a key role in both areas at The Schmitt Group. She’s worked alongside Steven Schmitt for her entire career and serves as his trusted liaison on business planning and direction.
Clients count on Cassandra, too, for her ability to anticipate and address their needs and then inform them of the results. Her attention to detail is evident in the everyday planning and handling of clients’ accounts, requests and inquiries.
Clients can be confident knowing that she and the team are fully committed to helping them navigate through all of life’s stages, such as divorce and the passing of a loved one, and on the brighter side, marriage and the birth of a child.
Cassandra holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and helps clients in specialized areas like charitable planning such as Donor Advised Funds, as well as Trust Services, Estate Planning and Qualified Retirement Plan accounts.
Cassandra moved to Raymond James in November 2022 with the team from Morgan Stanley, where she was a Senior Registered Client Service Associate. Previously, she was a Client Associate and Operations Clerk at Wells Fargo Advisors. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture, a 5-year accredited professional degree from Syracuse University School of Architecture.
Volunteering and charitable giving are personally important to Cassandra, as well as promoting literacy and the arts. She serves as a mentor and Junior Board member of Read Ahead, a nonprofit guiding New York City public school children through reading-based mentoring sessions. She also served as an art guide and docent for private events at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the 2017 exhibit Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman & Designer.
Cassandra is originally from Northern New Jersey and now lives in Manhattan with her husband, Matthew, and their Miniature Australian Shepherd, Gem. In her free time, she enjoys museums, classic films, reading, whiskey tastings and ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging.
Raymond James is not affiliated with the above organizations and/or charitable causes.
