Seth Diamond,

CFP®, CLTC®, AWMA Senior Vice President, Investments

I began my career in 1982 as a Commodity Research Analyst at Shearson Lehman Brothers. I next served as the Futures Trading Strategist for Advest, Inc. before joining M&T Bank as an executive associate, where I traded foreign exchange and also authored a biweekly commentary on capital markets. After trading Foreign Futures Options for a Commodities Fund, I became a foreign exchange strategist for Chase Manhattan Bank. I subsequently joined Prudential Securities (later Wachovia Securities LLC) as a financial advisor, rising to sales manager of their flagship branch on Park Avenue in New York City. In 2005, I relocated my business to Morgan Stanley in Hartford, CT. I subsequently joined Janney Montgomery Scott’s Glastonbury CT office in 2013, where I served as satellite branch manager, prior to joining Raymond James in 2025.

Since its founding in 1962, Raymond James has been guided by a bedrock principle: “The client comes first.” This was evident in its novel approach to the business of wealth, in which advisors and their clients worked as partners, creating long-term plans tailored to clients’ specific needs and long-term financial well-being. I share this approach, using the diverse tools of finance to help my clients live their lives and pursue their goals with confidence.

In 1982, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Franklin & Marshall College; in 1990, I earned an MBA in finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. In 1999, I was invited to lecture about Applied Technical Analysis at the NYU School of Continuing & Professional Studies; an appointment as adjunct assistant professor of financial management followed shortly thereafter.

I am a Certified Financial Planner® professional , and I have successfully completed both the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) Certification as well as the Certification for Long-Term Care-® (CLTC®). Additionally, in 2014 I was appointed to serve on the Advisor Leadership Council by the OIC (the Options Industry Council).

I have been married to my wife Shari since 1995. We are the proud parents of our child, Zane. We have resided in Glastonbury, Connecticut since 2004. My interests include collecting and listening to Classic Rock music concerts, playing bass guitar, attending film exhibitions, concerts and professional sporting events, and exploring new technologies.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization's initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
