Rural Community Roots.
Raised in Eastern Oregon, I’ve now lived in Idaho for 28 years and counting—longer than anywhere else. Despite this, my colleagues still consider me an Oregonian. I moved to Idaho chasing my high school sweetheart (now wife) who was headed to the College of Idaho, and for the love of the big outdoor opportunities that Idaho offered.
Outdoorsy.
I’m game for anything that gets me outside. Archery has been a part of my life since I can remember, thanks to an encouraging father and a great neighbor who’s still a dear friend. A fly rod, mountain bike, sleeping bag, golden retriever, or drift boat oar could be found inside my truck at any point in time.
My “Why”.
I’ve worn many hats: wildland firefighter, welder, machine shop and factory employee, farm hand, outdoor store manager. These roles have given me the perspective I need to help the retirement plan participants we serve every day. We strive to keep our advice real, understandable, and approachable for both retirement plan sponsors and participants.
No two days are the same on our team. The fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and the real impact we can make in families’ lives literally make me jump out of bed each morning. I’m most proud of our team’s grit and resolve to avoid generic financial advice, approaching each challenge with the same dedication we expect from any professional we interact with.
