As Raymond James’ chief investment strategist and a managing director of the firm’s Equity Research department, Jeff Saut provides timely and insightful market commentary to Raymond James financial advisors, their clients and institutional clients through daily strategy calls, weekly written commentary, as well as local and national media appearances.
A disciple of the markets for more than 40 years, Jeff possesses a breadth of experience in the field few can match. He was managing director of research at Roney & Co. when it became part of Raymond James in 1999. Prior to that, he was managing director of equity capital markets for Sterne, Agee & Leach. His responsibilities there included equity research, investment banking, institutional sales and syndicate.
After graduating from St. Andrews in early 1971, Jeff began his career on a trading desk in New York, becoming a trading desk manager in 1972. In 1973, he joined E.F. Hutton & Company, where he began following equities and providing research commentary. He subsequently worked as a securities analyst for Wheat First Securities, and then Branch Cabell & Co., where he was director of research and acted as portfolio manager for the firm’s affiliate, Exeter Capital Management. Jeff was also director of research for the regional brokerage firm Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc., where he developed the firm’s research and institutional sales efforts.
Jeff is well known for his insightful and colorful stock market commentary when appearing on various programs on PBS, NPR, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, USA Network and Fox News, as well as various local radio and television networks. He is often quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s, The Washington Post, BusinessWeek, U.S. News and World Report, Fortune and SmartMoney, as well as on websites including thestreet.com and msnbc.com.

Nick Goetze is the head of fixed income services and a managing director in the Raymond James Fixed Income Capital Markets Division. His primary responsibility is running the Fixed Income Services Group and coordinating the efforts of the retail sales force with the fixed income underwriting and trading operations. He also helps maintain some of the firms’ largest fixed income portfolios using industry leading, proprietary fixed income software.
Prior to joining Raymond James in 2003, he was employed by Legg Mason and Alex Brown and Sons, both located in Baltimore, Maryland. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1997. NIck received a bachelor’s of science in business from Cornell University.
Tiffany Marshall joined Raymond James Trust, N.A. in 2016 as trust consultant for the West region. With over 18 years in the industry, she previously served as a senior trust officer for Union Bank in San Francisco, primarily focusing on helping high-net-worth clients achieve their estate planning goals and cultivating long-term relationships with their families.
She also worked as a trust officer with Wells Fargo Bank for five years, managing complex trust and investment relationships. She then moved to Merrill Lynch and worked as a financial advisor, where she focused her business by partnering with estate planning attorneys in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. In 2008, she moved back to Wells Fargo Bank as a wholesaler for their fiduciary platform.
Tiffany earned her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation in 2009 and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
