James strives to help his clients improve their overall financial health, enabling them to live the life they desire both before and during retirement. Loyal and accessible, he strives to make a difference in the lives of those he serves by keeping his clients’ best interests in mind, understanding their needs, and providing them with the highest caliber of service.

James earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in finance from Georgia Southern University. He earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ and Chartered Retirement Planning Specialist® from the College for Financial Planning in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2015, James was a financial advisor with Wells Fargo and Ameriprise Financial and served as an investment counselor with SunTrust Investment Services. In 2018 James earned the designation of Certified Estate Planner™.

Originally from Macon, Georgia, James now lives in Clayton, North Carolina. In his free time, James enjoys boating and spending time with his two children, Susannah and Wesley.
