Ben Crayton,

Ben Crayton offers clients extensive expertise in sophisticated investment strategies and complex financial instruments. With over a decade of experience, he is committed to delivering a comprehensive, technically driven wealth management approach tailored to the needs of private wealth families.

Before joining SOCATA Capital, Ben began his career in 2012 with the Raymond James Alternative Investments Group. He held several roles within that group and oversaw the expansion of the alternative investment platform as director of product management from 2017-2019. He joined the Structured Notes group at Raymond James in 2019, and as vice president of product management his responsibilities included leading a consultant team and ensuring the structured notes platform remained competitive and industry leading from both a product and service standpoint.

Ben holds the Chartered Financial Analyst^® designation, and applies his background across derivatives, structured notes and alternative investments – including hedge funds, private equity and credit and private real estate to deliver tailored solutions for high-net-worth clients.

He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst and Certified Exit Planning Advisor designations, alongside several securities licenses including Series 7, and 63. He earned a Bachelor of Science in finance with honors from the University of Florida.

Ben is a lifelong Tampa, Florida native, where he lives with his wife, Katie, and two young daughters, Elle and Olivia. He’s passionate about spending quality time with his family, teaching his daughters to out-drive him on the golf course, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
