With more than 15 years experience in financial services, Omar De La Rosa leverages his extensive wealth management and capital markets expertise to help clients pursue their financial goals. He specializes in advising pre-IPO companies on Directed Share Programs and assisting public company insiders and executives with complex issues related to insider trading regulations, Rule 10b5-1 plan design and execution, concentrated equity strategies, capital market transactions and equity compensation planning.
Omar began his career at Raymond James in 2008, serving in various roles within the firm’s risk management group before joining Raymond James International Holdings. In that role, he managed and supported the firm’s Latin American joint ventures, overseeing relationships with partners in Argentina and Uruguay and providing cross-border operational support across investment banking, institutional sales and trading, equity research and private wealth management.
In 2016, Omar transitioned to the Global Equities and Investment Banking division, joining the Corporate and Executive Services Group. There, he focused on engaging Raymond James’ equity research and investment banking clients, originating and executing share repurchase programs, at-the-market offerings, Rule 10b5-1 plans and equity compensation administration.
Omar earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of South Florida and holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor certification along with multiple securities licenses, including Series 7, 24, 57, 66 and 79.
A Tampa native, Omar lives in Lutz, Florida, with his wife, Cortney, and their three children. Outside of work, he values quality time with his family. He enjoys supporting his children’s passions, including watching his son compete on the baseball field, encouraging his daughter’s love for horseback riding and attending local music and theater performances where his oldest daughter sings and acts.
