With over two decades of experience in wealth management, Sam Aspinwall is the founder of SOCATA Capital of Raymond James and, today, leader of a team dedicated to serving the complex needs and distinct goals of corporate executives, founders, business owners and high-net-worth families.
Sam has earned certifications including CFP® and CPWA®, and holds numerous securities licenses including the Series 7, 24, 31, 51, 63 and 66 – a reflection of his deep knowledge of comprehensive financial planning strategies for private wealth clients. He has also earned the Private Wealth Advisor designation from Raymond James, which he believes demonstrates a mastery of the methods and resources necessary to support the expansive financial interests of clients with significant wealth.
Previously, Sam joined the Raymond James Wealth Solutions team in 2007, where he focused on complex client cases in the high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth markets. This role helped him build an expansive foundation of advanced financial planning techniques, asset preservation strategies, institutional investment execution, alternative investments and cash management. His goal for his clients is to offer precision planning aligned with their unique objectives.
Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Dickinson College and currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, with his wife, Wendy, and his son, Andy. He spends much of his free time following his college lacrosse team and flying airplanes.
Private Wealth Advisor is a designation awarded by Raymond James to financial advisors who have demonstrated mastery in anticipating and managing the expansive financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and organizations.
