Seth Bolno is a seasoned investment and portfolio analyst who joined SOCATA Capital of Raymond James in 2017. He plays a key role in supporting the execution of discretionary asset management models and drives the development and integration of proprietary automation tools that help streamline operations and enhance practice-wide efficiency. Seth also oversees the daily operational infrastructure, ensuring consistent performance and reliability across all facets of the business, benefiting team members and clients alike.
Equipped with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Seth brings a meticulous, data-driven approach to portfolio analysis and operational strategy. His expertise lies in optimizing investment workflows, enhancing automation and delivering analytical insights that support informed decision-making and long-term client success.
Formerly, Seth served as an operations analyst at Raymond James within the Alternative Investments Group. In that role, he assisted financial advisors in navigating the operational complexities of client investments relating to private equity, event-driven, long-short equity, credit, venture capital, non-traded REITs and managed futures funds available on the Raymond James platform.
Earlier in his career, Seth’s role involved managing leveraged and inverse mutual funds and ETFs benchmarked to US equities and commodities. He also built and maintained portfolio management models and executed trades using swaps, equities and futures contracts to maintain precise fund exposures.
Seth holds several securities licenses, including Series 7 and 66, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in applied economics and finance from Florida State University and earned his MBA from the University of South Florida.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter. Together, they love hosting friends and family and discovering new places through travel and shared experiences.
