Jake joined Solomon Wealth Group in 2018 and is the newest member of its investment committee. He has had a relationship with the team over the past 18 years and is excited about now working alongside them to help meet and exceed clients’ investment and financial planning goals.
Jake is a District Judge for Stone County, Arkansas, and Managing Director of The Law Offices of Jacob Newton, PLLC, a comprehensive legal practice focused on sophisticated corporate transactions, creditor work for local banks, and estate planning.
Earlier he was a shareholder with the law firm of Stutzman, Bromberg, Esserman & Plifka, P.C. in Dallas, Texas, where he represented creditors and creditors’ committees in a wide range of bankruptcy-related litigation.
Jake earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, graduating magna cum laude. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in history from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, graduating cum laude.
He was president of the national history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta; a member of the national economics honor society, Omicron Delta Epsilon. He was a First Team All-TranSouth Conference basketball player and two-year Basketball Team Captain and is now a member of the Lyon College Athletics Hall of Fame.
Jake is a member of the State Bar of Arkansas and the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Law Review, and the Christian Legal Society.
Originally from Conway, Arkansas, Jake lives in Mountain View, Arkansas, with his wife, Christy. They have three children, Mackenzie, Jack and Tyler. In his free time, Jake is actively engaged in his family cattle business, and enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, including basketball and soccer. He is also actively involved in Flatwoods Baptist Church, where he regularly teaches and serves on the church finance committee.
