Gary has provided comprehensive financial planning and investment management services for individuals and institutions since 1997. Dedicated to serving the needs of his clients and always devoted to their best interests, he has earned the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary™.
Prior to joining Raymond James in 2014, Gary was a Senior Vice President – Investments, in the wealth management division of UBS, starting in 2008. From 1998 until 2008, Gary held similar positions at Wells Fargo, Wachovia and Prudential Securities, all of which came from the Prudential Securities heritage.
Always willing to share his knowledge and to teach others about the importance of SOUND money management, Gary has been a frequent keynote speaker at financial advisor forums on investment management. He was also a member of his former firm’s Financial Advisors Council and the chairperson of The Advisory Council Technology Committee. Gary has received numerous awards as a top performing financial advisor throughout his career and is a member of the Raymond James Chairman’s Council.*
Gary believes in continual education as a means to better serve his clients and holds a number of industry designations, including Wealth Management Specialist, Certified College Planning Specialist, and Certified Long-Term Care Professional. Gary has also earned the Investment Management Consultant designation, after completing the coursework and examinations of the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting.
Gary’s diverse background provides him the business acumen to make a significant, positive impact in the lives of his clients. Over a 10-year period, Gary held varied positions at AT&T, including Director of AT&T of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and Director of the Center for Executive Education and Development. Gary also held a number of executive positions including a presidential role at Paging Network, Inc. (PageNet), a Fortune 200 company and the largest U.S. wireless company during the 1990s.
Gary has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami, Florida. Concurrent with his master’s degree studies in business and finance at the University of Miami, he continued to develop the music production company he started as a teenager in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area by expanding it to Nebraska and Florida.
Gary has earned Series 7, 63, 65 and 66 licenses and holds numerous life, health and annuity appointments. He is also approved to offer Ambassador accounts, which allows him to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis.
Gary resides in Palm City with his wife, Jackie, and their three boys. He and his family are very active in the community including working with Vickers House, Grandma’s Place, The Samantha & Ashley Housel Medical Fund, and Bright Blue Bicycle Foundation – a charitable organization that Gary’s then 9-year-old son founded to "help children in need and give back to the community."
*Raymond James Chairman's Council membership is based mainly on assets under management, education, credentials and fiscal year production. Re-qualification is required annually. Awards from previous firms were based on annual production.
