Taxable Fixed Income
Taxable fixed income consists of debt instruments where money is loaned to a company, governmental entity or bank in a negotiated lending arrangement. Typically, the investor receives a stated regular interest payment and the return of their loaned funds at an agreed upon future date. Bond prices have an inverse relationship to interest rates.
Some of the more common taxable fixed income options available from SOUND Wealth Management Group include: Corporate Bonds, Preferred Securities, Convertible Securities, United States Treasury Securities, Treasury Inflation Protected Securities (TIPS), and Brokered Certificates of Deposit (CDs).
Bond allocation depends on many factors, including an investor’s total investable assets, time horizon, risk tolerance, future goals, and, the current interest rate environment.
