Prior to joining the Spanos Group, Kathy practiced as a CPA for more than thirty years in roles that included audit, large corporate financial reporting, and small business controller. For twenty of those years, she was a sole practitioner of a small tax and accounting practice. It was in that role that she developed her passion for working with her clients, their attorneys, and advisors to meet the various tax and planning needs of her clients. In her role with the Spanos Group, Kathy utilizes her passion for planning with a new focus on longevity. Kathy emphasizes planning for the important life goals – education, retirement, comfortable aging and leaving a legacy.

In order to better serve clients, Kathy completed the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® program of the College for Financial Planning. To achieve the CRPC^® designation, considered the nation's premier retirement planning credential, Kathy demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the needs individuals face both before and after retirement.

A New York City native, Kathy graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She and her husband, Peter, reside in Brighton Township and are parents of three adult children.
