Kathleen M. Manickas,

CRPC®, CDFA® Financial Advisor

Kathy brings over three decades of experience as a CPA to her role at The Spanos Group, where she now focuses on helping clients plan for longevity and life’s most meaningful goals. Her career spans a wide range of financial disciplines, including audit, corporate financial reporting, and serving as a controller for small businesses. For twenty years, Kathy ran her own tax and accounting practice, where she discovered her passion for working closely with clients, their attorneys, and advisors to navigate complex tax and financial planning needs.

At The Spanos Group, Kathy channels that passion into helping individuals and families prepare for key milestones such as education, retirement, aging with comfort, and leaving a lasting legacy. Her approach is grounded in deep expertise and a genuine commitment to personalized planning.

To better serve her clients, Kathy earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning—recognized as one of the nation’s premier retirement planning credentials. This achievement reflects her comprehensive understanding of the financial challenges individuals face both before and after retirement.

Kathy is also a proud member of Ed Slott's Elite IRA Advisor Group℠, a distinction that underscores her advanced knowledge in IRA distribution strategies and her dedication to staying at the forefront of retirement planning.

Further expanding her capabilities, Kathy earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) designation. With this specialized training, she helps individuals navigate the financial complexities of divorce, reassessing their financial plans and investments to align with both short- and long-term goals.

A native of New York City, Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University. She and her husband, Peter, reside in Brighton Township and are proud parents of three adult children.
