Roy Sparkman, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, has been in the Austin investment community spanning five decades. Since becoming registered as a financial advisor in 1984, he has worked with hundreds of investors seeking their financial dreams. Roy graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in marketing and began his career with a large company. This served as a springboard to owning several small businesses. Over the years, he has also managed offices for multiple investment firms, including Raymond James & Associates. Roy’s vast business experience enables him to work effectively with corporate executives, small business owners, and individual investors. One of the highlights of his career has been working alongside his son, Travis.
Roy is a deacon at First Baptist Church in Burnet, Texas. Before moving to Burnet, he was a board member of both the YMCA of Austin and the Education and Talent Commission of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys his time with his wife, Alexa, at their home on Lake Buchanan. Together, they cruise the world through semi-retirement. They proudly have three sons and nine grandchildren on whom they dote.
