Karen joined Sterling Wealth Services in 2021 and is excited to be serving as client care administrator. In addition to connecting with and serving clients, she assists Jim in the day-to-day operations of the practice. She gladly supports Jim’s mission to provide clients with a big picture perspective of their finances, helping clients gain wisdom in their financial concerns and endeavors.
Detail-oriented with a natural inclination for organization, Karen brings with her many years of experience in administrative roles not only in a business setting, but also in ministry support and, most importantly, as a full-time, homeschooling mother of 10. Being in the role of homeschool teacher and managing a large household for over 25 years has both stretched and equipped her in the areas of management and relationship skills. Her experience in family and other relationships along with her genuine concern for people enable her to build connections with clients and be there for them at each milestone and life event.
A native of Maryland, she and her husband, Eric, returned to the area in 2017 with their five youngest children (ages 20, 18, 15, 12 and 11). With older children spread across the country, she most enjoys catching up with them whenever possible via phone, video chats or, best of all, in person. Some of her favorite things are being by the ocean, campfires, time with her four sweet grandchildren, and rare times when the whole family is together. Investing in her family relationships is both a challenge and one of her greatest joys.
