With a career that began shortly after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Central Arkansas, Steve is passionate about helping his clients fulfill their most important life goals. He assists them by helping to manage their assets while keeping a watchful eye on tax efficiency.
“I am loyal to my clients and search persistently for what I believe are the best investment opportunities, providing both equity and fixed income services and utilizing Raymond James Equity Research information,” Steve says.
The attraction to financial services reverts back to his fraternity days in Sigma Tau Gamma. Steve’s pledge brother introduced and helped sponsor Steve in attaining his securities license.
Steve’s career took several interesting turns. He joined T.J. Raney & Sons in the summer of 1984. After five years, the firm was purchased by Morgan Keegan. Regions Bank then acquired Morgan Keegan in 2000, clearing the way for Steve to join Raymond James after the acquisition of Morgan Keegan in 2012.
Fitness has been a priority to Steve. In 1993, he began martial arts training and worked diligently to attain the fourth degree Black Belt rank of Yodan. He actively supports the University of Central Arkansas baseball program, having played on the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference championship teams of 1978, 1980, and 1981.
Steve lives in Little Rock with his wife, Pamela. He has two stepchildren, Lindsey and Marc Hosford. He operates the Little Rock dojo for the Taiho-ryu Karate and Ju-Jitsu Club and also enjoys fishing and duck hunting.
