Sandy is the Senior generation, co-founder and branch manager of the Stewart Markey Group. Doing tax preparation led Sandy to put a focus on tax saving strategies and pension planning.  After intense study of economics, overcoming breast cancer, and a divorce, she decided that helping people make smart long term financial decisions was what she had to do. She joined Shearson (later it became Smith Barney etc.) in 1984.  She stayed at that firm for 25 years – split between Virginia (outside D.C) and Pensacola, FL.  Her licenses include the 3, 7, 63. 65 and 24.   In May 2009, we were not happy with the big bank approach. We looked for a better solution for our clients, many of whom have been with us from the beginning. We love guiding our numerous multigenerational families now. We found, Raymond James, an honorable and straight-shooting firm. We became independent advisors in May 2009 offering securities through Raymond James Financial Services.

Sandy is a voracious reader – from business and history to suspense novels. She is the co-founder of WES (Women’s Empowerment Society) and active with the Pensacola IMPACT 100. In the last couple of years, she has become devoted to  the practice of Tai Chi.
