A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Robert Shy is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration. He brings over thirty (30) years of experience in his role as a Vice President, Investments of The Strategic Alliance Group of Raymond James. His experience covers the gamut of investments, from institutional, U.S. Government and corporate bond trading to hedge funds including managed futures and direct private equity investments. Mr. Shy has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designations.
Robert moved to Nashville in late 1989 and has been active in the community ever since. He has two lovely girls, Charlotte who is studying to be a Physician’s Assistant (PA) and Genevieve who is still in college. He is a prior member of the United Way Senate Society, a volunteer with Project Healing Waters, Belle Meade Country Club and a current member of First Presbyterian Church. He is an avid outdoors-man enjoying fly fishing, hunting and the occasional round of golf.
