Matthew D. Strutzel is an Associate Vice President, Investments and Accredited Asset Management Specialist. Matt started work in the investment services industry during high school, and continued on through college internships. Both Matt and his father moved to Raymond James in December 2007 after spending over eight years working with A.G. Edwards.
 
Matt completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. While attending school, he played fours years of collegiate ice hockey for the Bradley Braves. Besides being a student athlete, Matt was also a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he was elected to serve one term as vice president. Currently, Matt serves as congregational president at St. John Lutheran church in Wheaton, IL. Matt resides in Carol Stream with his wife, Rachel, and their five sons Drake, Charlie, August, Maddox, Beckham, and daughter Esme.

Matt is a key part of the "plan early" team. He concentrates on proper asset allocation, managing portfolio risk, and helps clients develop a plan to generate income during retirement. Matt enjoys helping clients better understand the value of planning for retirement living expenses in order to better plan for a long and financially healthy retirement.
