John Pavelka is managing partner at The Cities Private Wealth Group and financial advisor with RJFS. While focusing on his clients’ individual financial objectives, John believes the most successful wealth management strategies take a holistic approach. He is passionate about empowering individuals to live more meaningful lives by aligning financial decisions with personal values and long-term goals.

In his leadership role, John is dedicated to driving the practice’s growth through strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions and overall practice management. His vision and guidance are instrumental in positioning the practice for long-term success and expansion. Beyond these responsibilities, John is committed to developing future leaders within the team, ensuring every member has access to the resources, training and tools needed to foster a culture of leadership and excellence.

With more than 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from St. Ambrose University. Committed to lifelong learning, he has completed rigorous training and examinations to achieve multiple professional designations, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®).

Outside the office, John is an active member of the Quad City Chamber and Rotary International and regularly supports St. Ambrose alumni fundraising efforts. He enjoys golfing and vacationing in Naples, Florida. John and his wife, Mandy, are proud parents of their daughter, Palmer.
