Katelyn Nelson, a native of the Lake Martin, Alabama area, graduated from Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business where she studied Finance, she later joined Raymond James as a Wealth Management Advisor currently holding her Series 7 license, Series 66 license, and Life and Health Licenses to provide comprehensive financial, retirement, and investment planning for her clients. In 2019 she was designated as an Accredited Asset Management Specialist ®, where she follows a fiduciary standard throughout the financial planning engagement. As such, she places your interest ahead of her own when providing professional services.
Katelyn’s goals as an advisor are to serve and educate her community on how to build and protect their assets while helping those who wish to create a roadmap for their financial goals. Katelyn is able to help her clients achieve their financial goals through a four-step process: connecting with her clients to understand their needs, designing a plan through gathering information and research, implementing a strategy to employ solutions, and managing risk through reviews and communication.
In addition to working with small business owners, families and retirees, Katelyn especially enjoys helping clients who are undergoing big transitions in their lives who need additional support. Katelyn is an active Ambassador of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce where she works closely with the community to serve and support the Montgomery area and businesses for growth and development. Katelyn is a member of Lake Martin Baptist Church.
In her free time, Katelyn enjoys boating on Lake Martin, playing tennis, cooking, painting, and hiking Alabama trails. She especially enjoys spending time with her family and her son, Micah.
