Wesley Yamamoto joined Raymond James in 2017, after serving at UBS Financial Services, Inc. for 7 years and Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC in Honolulu for 15 years. While at Wells Fargo Advisors, he was a Senior Institutional Consultant working with many institutional plans including Corporate, Endowment, Foundation, private school and Taft-Hartley Joint-Trusteed Plans.
Prior to entering the investment field, Mr. Yamamoto served as a consultant for Coopers & Lybrand in Honolulu, a financial analyst for the Ralph M. Parsons Corporation in Saudi Arabia, and ran his own manufacturing company in Bangkok, Thailand. He was also President of Gray Line Hawaii, where he was in charge of 850 employees and tour bus operations on the 4 main islands of the State of Hawaii.
Mr. Yamamoto graduated from Saint Louis School and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting from the University of Hawaii. He became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional in 2004 and in 2001 he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Yamamoto is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) both National and Hawaii, Investments & Wealth Institute, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, volunteer at Navian Hawaii and a Tocqueville Society member of the Aloha United Way.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization's initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
