Curtis Sumpter

A Diverse Professional Background

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Curtis attended Villanova University from 2002 to 2007, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. He was blessed with the opportunity to play professional basketball overseas for six years in various countries.

After his professional playing career ended, Curtis transitioned into coaching at both the collegiate and professional levels. In 2012, he was part of the Villanova Men’s Basketball Team coaching staff, and the following year, he joined the Philadelphia 76ers as a Player Development Assistant, a role he held from 2013 to 2017.

In 2018, Curtis entered the corporate space and discovered a passion for sales. As the son of a former Senior Analyst and Administrative Assistant to portfolio managers on the trading floor for over 40 years, the finance industry had always been present in his life—but now he speaks about it from his own personal experience.

In his free time, Curtis enjoys spending time with family, working out, playing basketball, and training kids in the game he loves.
