Maritza Hernandez is a seasoned Financial Planner with over a decade of experience helping individuals, families, and non-profit organizations navigate the complexities of wealth management. Known for her personalized approach, Maritza partners with clients to align their financial goals with their values and life aspirations.

At Raymond James, she brings a thoughtful and strategic perspective to financial planning, investment management, and long-term wealth preservation. Prior to joining the firm, Maritza spent 10 years at Morgan Stanley, where she developed deep expertise in financial strategy and client relationship management.

Maritza holds a Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny College and an MBA in Finance from Penn State University. As a Certified Financial Planner® professional, Maritza has demonstrated expertise in the areas of retirement planning, investment management, insurance, estate planning, and tax management. Most importantly, she holds a fiduciary standard – putting her clients’ interests first. In addition to her CFP® designation, she holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) credential, underscoring her commitment to excellence and continued professional growth.

As her “alphabet soup” of certifications, licenses, and degrees suggests, Maritza is passionate about learning. Education is at the forefront of her practice, as she strives to equip her clients with the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their financial futures.

Outside of the office, Maritza enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring new destinations through travel. Her most joyous role is being a mom. You’ll often find her with a book in her hand or a podcast playing in the background. Favorite reads include Shoe Dog by Phil Knight and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Her guilty pleasure? Watching reality TV after she puts her son to bed. As a native of Puerto Rico, Maritza is fluent in Spanish.
