Erin K. Bethge,

CFP®, CPWA® Financial Advisor

I joined Raymond James in 2019. Previously, I was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. Earlier in my career, I was the director of student services for the University of Phoenix. I earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

In my first career, I learned how to be a leader with kindness. This is my second career and one where I feel very fortunate to be working with my dad. I truly believe in what we do for people because I have seen the profound difference consistent guidance and partnership can have on someone’s life. I love getting to know people and uncovering their stories. This is my sociology background coming out and is so helpful in building relationships and plans that resonate with people.

I am the oldest of three kids and I grew up in Southern California. I have always been strong-willed and will stand up for things I believe in. Growing up, I excelled at softball. Being on a team for the majority of my life has taught me that anything is possible when you are able to agree on and commit to a common goal. From an early age, I understood the connection between hard work and positive outcomes.

Over the years, I’ve also learned to just be the person I want to be and not struggle against it. I’m self-reliant and self-aware. I strive to lead and inspire others. I’ve learned that simple acts like walking with my head up high, smiling and connecting with others can make their day.

Being a mom of three has taught me that life can be unpredictable and the art of flexibility is essential. I want my kids to know the importance of focus, while also appreciating and adapting to life’s many and sometimes unexpected adventures.

Having a plan is important; however, my greatest lessons have come from how I have responded to the curveballs life has thrown my way. This is the same approach I take when cultivating relationships with clients and supporting them while working toward their goals.

I live in Poway, California, with my husband, Max. We have three children, Tucker, Brooks and Berklee.  On weekends, you will find us on a baseball field with the boys or a soccer field with our daughter. We enjoy spending family time on the beach and hiking the White Mountains in Arizona during the summer.
