Sarah M. Wiltbank

Senior Registered Client Service Associate

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California. As an adventurous young adult, I moved to Las Vegas after high school. That is where I began my career in the financial industry in 1993 as a receptionist for Kemper Securities and became a sales assistant within my first year.

By my second year, the branch manager, who was also a financial advisor, relocated to Palm Desert, California, and invited me to join him. Under his guidance, I developed skills in all aspects of running a branch office in addition to my assistant duties, including administration, operations, compliance and cashiering.

Each financial advisor I have worked with since has had a different niche and style, which has allowed me to become familiar with all investments and strategies – such as option trading, annuities, structured products, and commission-based and fee-based accounts.

I obtained my Series 7 and 63 securities licenses in 2000 and went on to work for Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.

In 2014, I joined Raymond James and moved to San Diego with my team at that time. Within the next year, they decided to go independent and I went with them. I spent the next four years as the director of operations for Astle Investment Management, associated with Commonwealth Financial Network.

They eventually decided to return to the desert, but this time I stayed behind. That is when I joined Gary and Erin and began my second stint at Raymond James. I chose to stay in San Diego because I’ve always wanted to live near the ocean, so I finally feel like I’m where I belong.

While my extensive industry knowledge and experience certainly goes a long way in serving our clients, it’s my patience, perseverance and pleasure in helping people that all contribute to a quality client experience. I will always work hard to do what is best for our clients. Whatever they ask of me, I am determined to get the task done. I will gladly walk our clients through any process – step by step – no matter how long it takes. I always have time to help them.

When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, Devin, and our daughter, Kayla. We like to play board games and watch TV together. We especially like documentary shows about the paranormal, such as ghosts, UFOs and Bigfoot. We also enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and camping.
