Alex McGrath specializes in wealth management and with his background in accounting, he provides insightful guidance for clients with more complex tax and accounting matters. Alex also excels at using Modern Portfolio Theory Statistics, tax planning, stock option planning, long term financial planning, and complex option strategies.
A Greenville native, Alex McGrath is a Graduate of the University of South Carolina where he was a member of the football team under Coach Steve Spurrier. After hanging his helmet and cleats for good he began his career as an accountant for Winnsboro Petroleum Company before joining Raymond James as a Financial Advisor. In 2020, Alex was named to the prestigious Raymond James “40 Under 40” list.
Alex serves on the boards of Pleasant Valley Connection and the Upcountry History Museum. He also remains an avid Gamecocks fan and member of the USC Alumni Association. Alex’s wife, Keri, a former elementary school teacher, is now a proud stay at home mom with their daughter, Eliza, and son, Banks.
