Dan Dawson is a Financial Advisor with Raymond James, in the firm's Oakbrook branch office. Over the last 20 years, Dan has developed and refined a process that puts all of the pieces of the financial puzzle together for his clients as their lives unfold and their needs evolve.
When someone retires, sells a business, or has accelerated career success, there’s a tremendous amount of uncertainty. Do I have enough? How do I structure my investments to maintain my lifestyle? What tax strategies will help the most? When should I exercise my stock options? Is there anything I’m missing?
Dan helps reduce that uncertainty by educating his clients on the implications and potential outcomes of all of their financial decisions, helping them feel confident as they pursue their most deeply held goals, and that no opportunities will be missed.
Originally from Homer Glen, IL, Dan graduated from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in finance. He has also completed extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes, employee benefits and retirement planning, and earned the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Retirement Income Certified Professional®, and Certified Exit Planning Advisor.
Away from the office, Dan resides in La Grange, IL with his wife, Kristen and their four children, Liam, Caleb, Henry & Olivia. When he’s not busy driving kids to games and practices, you can usually find Dan deep in a book, testing out a new recipe in the kitchen, or playing paddle tennis.
