Ashley is our newest team member having joined our practice in 2021. Ashley oversees all external communications, community engagement, and marketing for Kathy Moran Wealth Group. In her role, Ashley is responsible for developing our marketing materials and managing all firm content, while ensuring we provide our clients with clear and consistent communication through various media channels. Her vast knowledge and prior experience as both Director of Development and Director of Marketing and Communications for 10 years in the nonprofit sector, has prepared her for this position. In Ashley’s early career, she enjoyed flying the friendly skies for United Airlines as a flight attendant and teaching at a private school while being part-owner in a retail business in Northern Virginia. With over 14 years of experience in nonprofit and business management, marketing, fundraising, event planning, social media, and employee/donor/client relations, we are delighted to have Ashley as part of our team.

Ashley feels passionately that everyone deserves a hand up in life and serving the community she loves through volunteerism. She currently serves on the inaugural James Madison University (JMU) Community engagement Coordinating Council Advisory Group, Crime Solvers of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County Board of Directors, PTO President for her son’s elementary school, East Rockingham Recreation Association (ERRA) Board of Directors, Building Blocks Learning Center board member, prepares meals for new refugee arrivals through Church World Services and serves on committees and teaches Sunday School at her church. Ashley is a former member of the Board of Directors for Second Home, First Night Harrisonburg, Harrisonburg Women’s Service League, and served for five years on the gala committee for the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Free Clinic.

Ashley attended Radford University, Northern Virginia Community College and Blue Ridge Community College, studying Communications and Criminal Justice. She is also a graduate of the Harrisonburg - Rockingham Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.

Ashley is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and lives with her husband, Brian, in Port Republic, Virginia, with their three sons, 11-year-old, Gage; 3-year-old, Merritt; and 21-month-old, Quest. Ashley is a talented cook and baker, and loves to host and entertain for family and friends.
