Her administrative skills, coupled with her extensive and varied office management expertise, contribute significantly to an effectively and efficiently run practice. Marcie is responsible for all office administration including; bookkeeping, human resources, office maintenance, and daily office administration. Prior to her current position, Marcie worked as a human resources manager for five years in the legal and manufacturing industries. She also spent ten years working concurrently as a corporate office manager and executive assistant at the CEO level. Marcie’s early career as a high school teacher, coach, and assistant athletic director prepared her well for the rigors of the business arena. Marcie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Averett University, a Master of Science degree from James Madison University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from George Mason University.

Marcie had the great fortune to spend a number of years living in and traveling throughout Europe as a child while her father, an Army officer, was on tour. To this day, they remain some of her fondest memories.

One of Marcie’s proudest accomplishments was her service as an integral member of the Rockingham Memorial Hospital (RMH) Women for Generations Capital Campaign Committee. The successful completion of this effort resulted in meeting funding requirements to build the new Sentara RMH Funkhouser Women’s Center, a facility dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, high quality health care and programs to meet the specific needs of women of all generations.
