Annette Vivian FCCA
At the age of 5, Annette was introduced to the world of personal finance. Her parents successfully ran and maintained an insurance brokerage business from their home in the quaint Isle of Man. She recalls travelling with her father to the homes of families her parents were working with and learning about the business. From those early visits, Annette was motivated to pursue a career in accountancy and finance.
While pursuing her career, tragedy struck her family at home when her younger brother died in a motorbike accident. Because he had a plan in place, he was able to leave a legacy for his surviving sons. She was, and continues to be, a staunch believer in helping others build and protect wealth. “Life doesn’t give us too many certainties, I want to see people protect their wealth for the unexpected as well as the expected life events. Spending time with my nephews, niece and others now, coaching them about the importance of financial planning, is an opportunity I treasure immensely”.
She gained extensive experience setting up and running businesses and dealing with complex domestic and international business strategies. Her roles ranged from Finance Director in an international startup she helped found in the steel industry, to Senior VP for Credit Suisse in London managing operational activities for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Annette also ran a successful nutritional health business helping others improve their health through balanced nutrition.
Today she is partnering with her husband, Mark, to focus on running and managing the Vivian Investment Partners practice.
Annette is a Chartered Certified Accountant, a full member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a qualified Project Manager. In addition to her financial credentials, she is a Certified Nutritional Therapist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Services & Business Studies from the University of Gloucestershire.
