Sonnia Viyella

Sonnia Viyella is an experienced financial professional with more than 40 years guiding her clients and their families as they pursue their investment, financial and estate planning objectives.

As part of her process, Sonnia has developed a keen ability to help her clients understand their risk tolerances, an essential component to shaping strategies to suit their lives and goals. Her methodical approach and warm demeanor enables her to share her deep market expertise while meeting clients at their level of financial knowledge. This is reflective of her management style, which is grounded in a philosophy of long-term wealth preservation.

Prior to joining Raymond James in 2021, Sonnia was a senior vice president, investments, at Wells Fargo Advisors, where she had been for more than 20 years. There, she was recognized as a premier financial advisor. Earlier in her career she worked with Chase Manhattan Bank and Bankers Trust.

Sonnia is bilingual in English and Spanish, and with her team, manages more than $861 million for clients throughout the U.S. and in 10 other countries.

Previously, she was a board member of the South Florida board of the Children’s Home
Society, where she and her husband received the group’s highest advocacy award in 2017. She is a regular contributor to local charities and with her husband, Miguel, is a member of the Founders Society of the Baptist Health Foundation.

The couple has been married 30 years and raised four children. She is a committed believer and advocate for the well-being of people and animals.

In her leisure time, Sonnia enjoys playing tennis and the great outdoors, taking advantage of the sun and the water as she walks and admires nature’s splendor.
