Scott has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, and has specialized knowledge in retirement income planning, insurance planning, charitable giving, advanced investment strategies, and estate and trust planning strategies.

He has devoted his long career to helping his clients pursue their financial goals for education, retirement and business planning and ultimately, their financial freedom.

Being raised on a farm in Nebraska, Scott’s Midwestern values are ever-present and evident in his actions – as seen in his deep sense of commitment and loyalty to his clients, and his devotion to providing a high level of personal service.

Scott joined Raymond James in July 2015, excited to find a firm that shared his high standards for integrity and service, and his passion for putting clients first. Previously in his career, Scott served as a vice president, financial advisor, and accredited wealth manager at RBC Wealth Management in Lincoln, Nebraska. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College, and an accredited wealth management degree from the Estate and Wealth Strategies Institute at Michigan State University.

Scott is a member and two-time president of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lincoln, and served on the board of directors of the Lincoln Lutheran School Foundation. He is also a member of Sesostris Shrine in Roca, Nebraska; president of Roughriders, a charitable motorcycle riding club; and a past president of the Executive Club of Lincoln.

Scott grew up in Allen, Nebraska, and lives in Lincoln with his wife, Cate. They have three children, Audra, Ross and Hugh. In his free time, Scott enjoys hunting, motorcycling, traveling, photography, sports and serving as a volunteer for numerous local charities.
