Sutton Cavalier,

AIF®, CPFA® Financial Advisor

I grew up around the financial services industry, and one of my earliest memories is learning about stocks and bonds from my parents, both of whom were stock brokers. My father was actually involved in one of the very first cases in California, which became precedent, surrounding fiduciary responsibility in retirement savings plans, and more importantly—risk. The Forbes article hangs on the wall of my office. It’s serendipitous that my focus has deep roots in acting as a fiduciary for advisory relationships, and helping my clients outsource their liability. The days of being a traditional ‘stock broker’ are long gone, but I enjoy the modern shift to capacity that aids in developing, installing, and following the fiduciary standard on advisory accounts. These exceptions my clients find sincere value in.

I am an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee, having completed the requisite professional education, and passing the AIF® designation examination. I am also a Certified Fiduciary Plan Advisor designee, having completed the requisite professional education, and passing the CPFA® designation examination. My focus is bifurcated between acting in a fiduciary capacity for Plan Sponsors, and doing the same for private clients. Risk mitigation and management is the bedrock of each. Understanding, measuring, and helping to control risk allows my clients to feel confident in our dynamic approach. A strong sense of fulfillment is my reward when I am able to help Plan Sponsors, and previous generations, by providing sound and steady fiduciary advice.

I grew up on a hay farm in Northern Colorado, and learned at a young age that hard work is the only way something can be well done. I now live on some acreage SE of Denver with my wife, daughter and two rambunctious boxers. I enjoy all things Colorado, and am pleased to call this our forever home.
