Gentry Barnett Byrnes
Gentry Byrnes joined Raymond James Trust in 2013 as the chief fiduciary officer. She is responsible for overseeing a team of trust, real estate and specialty assets officers and focusing on fiduciary issues for all assets under management. Previously Gentry worked with Wells Fargo where she was the senior regional trust manager responsible for all compliance, risk management and fiduciary issues for high-net-worth clients. Prior to Wells Fargo, Gentry was a trust team leader for Bank of America, where she worked with clients on estate planning goals. Gentry has also worked for the law firm Fisher and Sauls, P.A., where her practice included estate and trust administration and elder law.
Gentry attended Stetson University where she received her bachelor’s degree in 1990 in psychology. In 1993, she received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law.
Gentry is a past president of Suncoast Estate Planning Council and a past president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Gentry also served on the St. Petersburg Bar executive committee, the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation board and Great Explorations Children's Museum. She is an adjunct professor at Stetson College of Law and serves on the Stetson Elder Law Advisory Board. Gentry also serves as the chair for the Will for Warriors program that provides simple estate planning documents to impoverished veterans.
Gentry currently resides in Seminole, Florida, with her husband and two children.
