Our Process Puts You First

We follow a comprehensive, six-step process developed by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to create a personalized financial plan for you. This process helps us develop a true sense of who you are and what you expect, so we can devise a tailored strategy to see you through saving, building and – ultimately – the careful distribution of your retirement income.

Establish and define our relationship
We will clearly explain and document the services we will be providing to you and define both our and your responsibilities. This first step also includes a discussion of how we will be compensated, how long our professional relationship should last and how decisions will be made.

Gather information, including your goals
All information regarding your financial situation will be assembled and we’ll work with you to define your personal and financial goals, understand your time frame for results, and discuss your tolerance level for risk. This is vital information we need to move forward.

Analyze and evaluating your financial status
We analyze all gathered information to assess your current situation and determine what action is required to work towards your goals. This step may include analyzing your assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, investments and tax planning strategies.

Develop and present your financial plan recommendations
You will receive financial planning recommendations that address your goals, based on the information you provided. We review the recommendations with you and help you understand them, so you can make informed decisions. We carefully listen to your questions and concerns and revise our recommendations, as appropriate.

Implement your financial plan
Once the financial plan meets with your approval, we carry out our recommendations, coordinating the process with you and, when appropriate, other professional advisors, such as your accountant or attorney.

Monitor your progress
With your authorization, we will monitor the progress toward your goals and report to you, review your situation and adjust the plan, if needed, as your life changes.
