Working with individuals, families, and small business owners to pursue their short and long-term goals is a passion for Clay as he seeks to develop a customized investment strategy and financial plan for each client’s specific needs. He particularly enjoys working with multi-generational families as they plan for current and future goals, but also desire to leave a legacy for successive generations.

He has experience both in and outside the financial services industry having worked with local investment firm TrustCore Financial before pursuing an opportunity with a business mentor as an executive for multimedia content company, Journal Communications. He returned to the industry at Raymond James with expanded knowledge of small businesses and the unique challenges owners face as they make strides to grow. Clay earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Sewanee: The University of the South and later completed Belmont University’s Certificate in Financial Planning program.

"Clay has deep roots in the area as a 9th generation Williamson County resident where he enjoys active involement in several community-building organizations. He is a Paul Harris Fellow in the Franklin Noon Rotary Club, a 2008 graduate of Leadership Franklin, board President of the Williamson County Library Foundation, board President of Franklin's Charge, Inc., and past board President of the Brentwood Academy Alumni Council. Additionally, Clay and his wife, Tatum, are members of Christ Presbyterian Church and live in Franklin with their two children, Will and Corinne."
