A native of Lake Charles, Mitchell is a graduate of Barbe High School and LSU, where he graduated from the Louisiana’s flagship business college, the E.J. Ourso College of Business. He also holds a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM credential. Mitchell began his career in financial services with Merrill Lynch in 2016 and joined Raymond James in 2022.

Outside the office, Mitchell is an active member of the Lake Charles community, where he serves as a board member for Fusion Five, Southwest Louisiana’s premier young professionals’ organization; and as a board member for the Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana, which promotes the arts in the five-parish area and which spearheads cherished community events like Live @ the Lakefront and Chuck Fest. At home, he enjoys gardening; collecting (including antique electronics and coins); raising butterflies; fishing; hunting; and spending time with his girlfriend, their dachshund (Cooper) and their orange cat (Ginger).
