Timothy P. Woods

With the valuable knowledge that comes from more than 40 years of hybrid experience in accounting and financial services, Tim Woods helps his clients navigate myriad investment opportunities and an ever-changing taxation landscape with an eye toward building long-term wealth. As Senior Vice President, Investments with Raymond James in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Tim provides an objective, “big picture” plan for every client – from initial goal-setting to adapting intelligently as conditions change.

A native of Lake Charles, Tim is a graduate of the former Lake Charles High School and McNeese State University. Prior to launching his career in financial services, Tim spent 18 years as a CPA, during which he became fascinated by the ability to accumulate wealth through investments in the stock market. In 1998, he began his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, where he focused on helping clients build wealth and limit taxation, calling to his experience in accounting.

Outside the office, Tim is active in the Kiwanis Club of South Lake Charles, where he is a board member; has previously served as the organization’s president; and annually chairs its Christmas shopping spree to benefit children in need. Tim is also a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and the McNeese State University Alumni Association. He enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with his wife (Theresa) and children (Mitchell and Lindsey).
