As a Financial Advisor, he truly enjoys partnering with clients to navigate life's key financial decisions. His focus is straightforward: helping people establish clear, achievable goals while gaining a complete picture of their overall situation. With strong roots in both the Winter Park community and the financial services industry, Mike brings a genuine, local perspective to every relationship.
Additionally, Mike co-founded AGW Group in 2017, drawing on his extensive experience in the wirehouse world to guide financial advisors through the rewarding journey of transitioning to independence—offering hands-on support from the initial move all the way through to succession planning.

His CFP® certification reflects his commitment to excellence—he's voluntarily met the CFP® Board's rigorous standards in education, examination, experience, and ethics.
Before launching the Winter Park Wealth Group, Mike was a financial advisor at Smith Barney in Winter Park. Earlier in his career, he worked as an analyst in Smith Barney's Consulting Group in Atlanta, where he handled money manager research, asset allocation, and ongoing performance monitoring for institutional clients.
Mike is a proud Winter Park native (though born in California) and a graduate of Winter Park High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in international business and marketing, with a minor in economics, from Flagler College.
Mike is deeply engaged in his community and maintains a strong record of volunteer leadership and service. He is an active member of the Flagler College Alumni Association. His prior roles include serving as a board member and Treasurer of the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, co-chairing a Leadership Winter Park class, and served as a member of the Winter Park Support Association of Fire Fighters (WPSAFF) Pension Board. He is also a past president of the WPSAFF.
Mike lives in Winter Park with his wife, Kristi, and their children, Reagan, Delaney, and Hudson. He's the proud dad of graduates of the University of Florida and University of Georgia, and married to an Auburn alum, so football season at the Hlavek house is always an exciting (and friendly) rivalry! In his spare time, he loves hitting the golf course, running, traveling, and supporting local charities.
