Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger across seven counties – Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. They collect and distribute donated food through a regional network of over 800 partner agencies and offer SNAP assistance, nutrition education and workforce training to help break the cycle of hunger and build community resilience.
Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival
Founded in 1960, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is a prestigious juried fine art event that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors and hundreds of artists working in various mediums to downtown Winter Park. The festival also supports artist development by awarding cash prizes while fostering community arts engagement through children’s workshops, school exhibits and scholarships via its nonprofit foundation.
JFS Orlando
Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando is a Central Florida-based nonprofit offering comprehensive support to individuals and families in crisis through a wide range of services including emergency financial aid, food pantry access, counseling, senior transportation and aging support. Their mission is guided by Jewish principles to stabilize lives and enhance community well-being across generations.
Mead Botanical Garden
In partnership with the City of Winter Park, Mead Botanical Garden preserves diverse ecosystems such as wetlands, pine flatwoods, butterfly gardens, native plantings, walking trails and a pond teeming with wildlife. It offers free daily access and a broad range of public programming – including educational workshops, fitness gatherings, concerts and volunteer-led environmental stewardship – designed to foster community connection with nature in an urban setting.
All Saints Church
All Saints Episcopal Church of Winter Park is a historic parish founded in 1883 that is centered on the mission to "Proclaim the Gospel. Love One Another. Trust God." The church offers regular worship, faith formation, pastoral care, community outreach and an accredited preschool.
Veterans of Foreign Wars
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is a nonprofit veterans’ service organization established in 1899 comprising US military personnel who have served in overseas conflicts. The organization advocates for veterans' rights and entitlements, provides free support to navigate VA claims and benefits, delivers community programs like emergency financial aid and scholarships, and fosters camaraderie through local posts and national initiatives.
