    Financial Advisor, RJFS

Barbara brings more than 30 years of hands-on wealth management experience to clients who’ve relied on her for decades – and have since referred their children and extended family. She finds it fulfilling to share her professional insights and personal energy with clients. Barbara has extensive training in financial planning, portfolio analysis, and a keen knowledge of the fixed-income markets. She recognizes that an affluent, educated clientele deserves a collaborative and coordinated effort from Z3 Capital Partners and from additional resources at Raymond James Financial Services.

“As stewards of clients' financial lives,” Barbara says, “our mission is to build disciplined investment strategies that are supported by the tremendous resources of a strong and stable global firm and delivered with the personal attention and integrity of a private bank or family office. It’s our privilege to help maintain clients' lifestyles, while helping them prepare for their families' futures.”

Barbara’s diverse background has enhanced her ability to explain complex financial strategies to clients and friends. Thanks to her early careers as a teacher, Barbara has honed a patient, educational approach that helps her provide clients with the appropriate level of detail they need to feel comfortable with their investment strategy.

Barbara began her financial services career working with divorced women and is particularly aware of the financial and emotional issues surrounding divorce. “These and other clients are not numbers in a ledger. They feel like my extended family. So, whether I help a young couple make a strong financial start or advise retirees on a major purchase, I bring a strong sense of empathy, interest and in-depth knowledge to my recommendations,” Barbara explains.

Outside the office, Barbara enjoys the world of antiques and has a deep knowledge of the antique markets. She grew up in Savannah, Georgia and went to school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Barbara has lived in Richmond for many years and enjoys spending time with her spirited French bulldog, Scarlet (can’t get more Southern than that!). Barbara’s other hobbies include gardening and cooking.
