Heather Kakabeeke,

Heather graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance. Heather decided early on to focus her passion for helping people, a love of numbers and her attention to detail to the financial needs and asset preservation strategies to assist individuals, families and businesses. She utilizes her expertise in financial analysis to provide customized client service by understanding her clients’ individual needs and concerns. She is an advocate for educating her clients with regards to Social Security Benefits, 401(k) distribution options, retirement income strategies and appropriate risk based asset allocation.

Upon completion of college, Heather returned to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to pursue a career as a Financial Advisor. She started at Smith Barney, which later became Morgan Stanley for 15 years prior to her transition to Raymond James & Associates. Heather has obtained her Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses along with Life, Health and Variable Contracts Insurance licenses. In November 2008 Heather became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, after completing the Seidman Financial Planning Certificate Program through Grand Valley State University. Those awarded this certification have completed extensive training and are held to rigorous ethical standards. Heather currently resides in Portage with her husband, Matt and their three children. Her commitment to personal health and wellbeing is evident in her hobbies which include golf, tennis, skiing, spinning and weight lifting. You may find her instructing fitness classes for The Fitness Spot located in Firehouse Fitness building. Heather recently founded a Non-Profit organization, gLOVEmeplease and sits on the Board of Directors as well as the Treasurer position for the group of mom’s wanting to give back to kiddos in their community. In addition she has been named committee chair for the KOHA annual Nicholas Barnes golf outing.
