As branch manager of the Valparaiso office, Jim holds the staff to the same high standards that have served him during the 25 years he’s been in the financial investment business. He stresses their clients’ reliance on them to candidly discuss the pros and cons of investment options and then, through training and experience, assist them in making choices they’re comfortable with. Jim specializes in building portfolios for high-net-worth clients, as well as working with retirees to help ensure their future financial independence. He also facilitates retirement seminars throughout the community.

His community involvement includes helping establish the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program in Highland and serving the Highland Kiwanis. A past president and secretary, he remains active in the Kiwanis organization.

As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional with more than 25 years’ experience in the investment field, Bert has a broad knowledge of the many financial planning issues clients face, especially as they approach and reach retirement. With a philosophy of knowing his clients, understanding their individual needs, and having regular reviews, Bert provides his clients personalized, cost-effective investment and asset allocation solutions. He specializes in assisting medium- and high-net-worth individuals with portfolio management and income planning and advising businesses on qualified retirement plans.

Bert is on the board of directors for the Duneland Chamber of Commerce, is a past board member of Valparaiso’s St. Agnes Adult Day Service Center, and current member of the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce. His community involvement includes being a board member and volunteer for Neighborlink Porter County (Neighbors helping Neighbors), and volunteering for Hilltop Neighborhood House.

Mark is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial planning and retirement planning industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and has earned designations as a Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC®, Wealth Management Specialist, WMS®, and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, AAMSSM. Mark specializes in working with retirees and individuals “on the doorstep of retirement.” He utilizes a comprehensive planning approach that emphasizes consistency, strategic asset allocation, diversification and risk management in an effort to meet clients’ needs.

Mark lives in Valparaiso with his wife and two children. His community involvement includes active membership in the Valparaiso Kiwanis club, where he is a founding board member of the Valparaiso Kiwanis Foundation. Mark is also a member of the University Club.

Walter Coffman

Walter has more than 29 years of experience in the financial services business, where he has worked extensively with retirees and those nearing retirement. He believes strongly in asset allocation while investing conservatively. Walter’s broad experience coupled with extensive, ongoing research in many financial areas assists him in understanding the markets and giving sound advice.

Walter is a member of Mensa and belongs to the men’s group of his church. He holds credentials to act as a PGA rules official and has worked as a rules official with the Plantation Tour in Florida.

Bill works with investors to help them achieve their individual goals, whether accumulating for the future or assisting during retirement years. With more than 25 years of experience as an advisor, he believes each client has unique needs and concerns, and portfolios should be structured accordingly. Helping people understand various investments and the value of proper diversification is key to this process.

A Purdue University graduate and lifetime Porter County resident, Bill is past president and active member of the Chesterton Duneland Kiwanis. He has served on the board of the Duneland Education Foundation and is a past member of the Duneland YMCA board of directors.

Missy Hilley

As operations manager, Missy ensures that our dedicated staff is courteous and efficient. With 17 years’ experience in the financial field, she holds the Series 7 general securities representative and the Series 9/10 and 24 licenses. Missy is also insurance licensed and handles procedure questions with confidence and expertise.

Her job duties include ensuring the office is within compliance with rules and regulations governing the securities industry. She also executes trades and assists clients.

Melinda South

With 13 years in the financial services industry, Melinda holds a Series 7 general securities representative license, the Series 66 uniform combined state law license, the Series 31 license, the Series 9/10 license and the Indiana insurance license. As a registered client service associate she assists clients with questions regarding their accounts, processes paperwork and executes trades, as well as handles the incoming and outgoing office correspondence. As branch technical liaison she assists the office with technical support and maintenance, troubleshooting any problems with the computer and phone systems.

Bronwyn graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She went on to earn her Series 7, 66, and life and health insurance licenses. Community involvement is important to Bronwyn, especially the work that she does as ambassador for the Duneland Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Exchange Club. She volunteers with both of these organizations on a regular basis.

Though she’s originally from South Bend, Indiana, Bronwyn now resides in the tight-knit community of Chesterton with her daughter, Katherine.
