Bernie has more than 50 years of experience as a financial advisor and specializes in retirement planning, Social Security options and analysis, and insurance planning.

He is the co-founder of Cohen & Son Wealth Management and father to Jon Cohen, who works alongside him. Working with his son serves as a daily reminder of the importance of family, a thought that motivates him to serve his clients and their families.

He is committed to bringing value to his clients through the careful management and preservation of their wealth, and the insightful investment strategies of their portfolios.

Bernie began investing at 13 years old and soon realized that it was his life’s calling. After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Bowling Green State University, he embarked on his long and distinguished career. Bernie is committed to helping others learn more about financial planning and taught personal finance and lessons on the stock market in Fort Lauderdale for several years.

Originally from Queens, New York, Bernie lives in Lake Worth with his wife, Susan. They have three children and six grandchildren. In his free time, Bernie enjoys trap, skeet and sporting clay, as well as fundraising for The Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization. He is a member of Zeta Beta Tau.

Bernie hold his Series 3, 5, 7, 8, 15, 63 and 65 licenses.
