Alp Onder

With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Alp Onder advises clients on a broad range of financial planning strategies. As a financial advisor and complex manager for Raymond James & Associates, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, he focuses on listening to each client because he believes everyone’s needs and financial goals for the future are unique.

Alp graduated from Michigan State University in 1984 with a BA in finance. He additionally earned his wealth management specialist designation in 2003. A firm believer in continuing education, Alp enhances his experience by regularly attending conferences and courses offered through the Raymond James Institute of Finance.

Alp takes pride in community involvement. He served on the Walled Lake School board from 1995 to 2004. From 2007-2010 he served as the chairman of the board of directors of The Foundation for Excellence-Walled Lake Schools, a nonprofit foundation supporting innovative learning and leadership projects for students .

Originally from Turkey, Alp currently resides in Novi, Michigan. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathy, who is a therapy dog handler for Dr. Paws, (a non-profit that provides therapy dogs to healthcare facilities), and their adult children, Evans, Kelsey and Alyssa. When he is not working with clients or serving the advisors and staff of the Farmington Hills Complex, Alp enjoys fishing, taking Danzzo (their 96 lb. golden retriever) for long walks, and passionately following MSU sports.
