Geraldine Spinella

Senior Vice President, Investments

I am a financial advisor. My goal is to help my clients understand the prevailing financial environment and to choose investments that will suit their particular circumstances."

For more than forty years, Geraldine Spinella has dedicated her career to helping her clients preserve their wealth through comprehensive wealth management strategies that are suited to their diverse short and long term financial needs. Over the years, Geraldine gained investment experience through time spent at firms such as Baird, Patrick & Co., Wolff Investment Group, a women owned firm where she was a partner, and Janney Montgomery Scott. Researching, writing and publishing a monthly newsletter on Long Island community banks was one of her tasks at Wolff during the 1990's. As a member of the Financial Women’s Association of NY she participated in the organizations delegation to Turkey in 1999 to visit the Ankara Stock Exchange and meet with government and major corporate leaders. The opportunity to join Raymond James, a national firm with international exposure seemed like the most appropriate decision for her clients who continue to receive education, objective advice and quality service. Her professional philosophy continues to be based on integrity, honesty and experience which are the principles upon which her business continues to grow. Her personality does not allow her to give up on a difficult project which is the result of many years of strict no nonsense education. "If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well".

In June 2008, Geraldine completed the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor program offered through the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School College for Financial Planning. She holds licenses to offer health, life and variable annuity insurance products as well as general securities and principal licenses. Her obligation as a Financial Consultant is to guide her clients toward sound financial decisions that will provide them with confidence.

Extremely active in her community, Geraldine has been a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee of Southampton representing Hampton Bays as well as the President of the Hampton Bays Civic Association. She is an active member of the Hampton Bays Chamber of Commerce. Geraldine was recognized on several occasions by both New York City and New York State for her community service and preservation achievements at Fort Totten and the reconstruction of the Bayside Marina . She was appointed by Governor George Pataki as a Commissioner on the NYS Northeastern Queens Nature and Historic Preserve Commission. As the President and Executive Director of the Bayside Historical Society, she was responsible for the restoration of The Castle at Fort Totten which is a National Historic Site. She assisted the US Army Reserve Officers 77th Infantry in the construction of a granite 9-11 monument to their fallen members at Fort Totten as well as a public monument from the Historical Society. Geraldine was an active member of the Little Neck Douglaston Lions International which focuses on raising funds for the eye bank and other causes. As a volunteer Division Commander for the Little Neck Douglaston Memorial Day Parade, she honored our veterans in the largest parade in the US to do so. Her leisure activities focus on travel, history, education and sailing.
